Quality of Veterinary Care

Pros:

  • "The vet was the BEST vet I've encountered in Philadelphia. Attentive. Supportive. Professional."
  • "The doctors here are professional, reliable, and thorough."
  • "Dr. Rebecchi himself is excellent. Knowledgeable, kind, thorough and attentive."
  • "Both the technician and the doctor were so gentle with my cat and made it so easy for him without scaring him at all."
  • "The level of care here is exceptional."
  • "Vet was very knowledgeable about my pups condition without referring to any notes or making we wait for a diagnosis."
  • "Dr. Rebecci has been our vet for our dogs (Dobermans) for decades. He has saved our dogs life."

Cons:

  • "During my last consultation at the Philadelphia Animal Hospital I found out my cat is very sick and potentially dying."
  • "I think this was very poor treatment of my cat they hurt him and didn't seem to care, and acted like he deserved what happened to him."
  • "They have horrible service. Each time I've been here they take every dog in before they attend to the cats."
  • "Most of the doctors are overworked and not doing their job (missing things, not ordering tests, not checking back in with patients)."
  • "They didn't listen to me when I said something was wrong with my dog and missed his cancer diagnosis."
  • "Another visit, the vet tech gave my dog an injection near his shoulder blade and he must have stabbed my dog's scapula, because my dog screamed and the medication magically spewed out."
  • "Unfortunately, if you happen to get Dr. Chapman, I feel bad for you. Exams are fast, he doesn't believe in many medications."

Customer Service

Pros:

  • "Everyone there was awesome and treated us and our baby with so much kindness and thoughtfulness."
  • "The entire staff is warm and friendly."
  • "The staff there is always friendly and welcoming, every time we come there we feel like family and Diesel loves all of the attention he gets from everyone 😊"

  • "The nurses that close at night ARE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!"
  • "The entire staff was excellent they took very good care of my dog."
  • "The staff are very nice and always very patient with her."

Cons:

  • "Won’t be returning."
  • "I waited over 30 minutes on the phone without even being put on hold by a real person before I gave up."
  • "I won't be wasting my time here again."
  • "I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone for days now."
  • "This practice is very poorly run and managed and we can't trust them to get back to us when it really counts."
  • "I never received a call because, after giving them the correct number to reach me at TWICE, they still had my old number on file."
  • "It's been nearly impossible to get through on the phone, and even more unlikely to get ahold of someone without a 10+ minute hold."

Facility and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Seems like a great place and would’ve loved to purchase a pool pass for the dogs."
  • "They also have a pool that is open year round."

  • "The staff was great and the facility was extremely clean."
  • "The facility is gorgeous and their hours are super convenient for working pet parents."
  • "The new place is lovely and has an outdoor pet pool."

Cons:

  • "However, the outdoors offered zero shade so we sat in the blazing sun for nearly 90 mins, never once being checked on or even offered water."
  • "This vet office is bias towards certain dog breeds."
  • "The waiting area was filthy with a lot of pet hair everywhere."
  • "Understaffed resulting in no communication from staff to customers on how long they might have to wait."
  • "The only bad thing is that you need a car, but otherwise awesome place to take care of your pets."
  • "Their communication seems to be poor and the place is unorganized."
  • "The facilities are clean and bright and well kept."

Value and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Great hours and affordable prices."
  • "Overall the staff is great and one of the more affordable options in Philly."
  • "The prices were fair. The work they did could've really hurt my pocket but it was fair."
  • "Everything is so much more affordable than other vets in the city."
  • "Their exam fees and vaccines are extremely reasonable."
  • "They are all about keeping fees low and quality high so that those who want to vet their dogs but are struggling a little bit can actually afford to be the responsible pet owner They strive to be."
  • "Prices for exams, prescriptions, and treatment are reasonable at their practice."

Cons:

  • "Sure, the care was a bit more expensive than other low-cost vet care options here in Philly, but you felt like this was someone who REALLY cared about the animal in front of them and its situation."
  • "I would have given 5 stars but they're a bit on the pricey side."
  • "Fees are higher than many other places."
  • "The place is also quick to nickel and dime you."
  • "Their prescriptions cost more than chewy so I recommend getting them written out to take elsewhere."
  • "The billing staff is heartless, wouldn't refill antibiotics, as I maxed out my card, (fixed income), they reneged the payment arrangements, that I made at discharge desk."
  • "If I could give less than one, I would Dr. Rebecca’s office used to be amazing the new doctors don’t care all they keep telling you is how shortstaffed they are then why make people wait."
