Staff and Service
Pros:
"TEN STARS for Eric at the front desk, I love Eric!!! He is so sweet, thoughtful, and just a great person I always enjoyed seeing when bringing in my pets!"
"They are absolutely spectacular. They're kind, patient (no pun intended), transparent with what they do and why, and it's very obvious that they all genuinely care for all the animals."
"The doctors will even call you off work time to check up on your pets sometimes because they CARE."
"Making appointments are so easy online or if you call. The front desk staff are always helpful and attentive."
"The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to every patient."
"Special shout-out to Jon, one of the technicians, who is so always wonderful with our cats."
"Everyone that attended to my little guy was so caring and sweet, and did everything possible to make him feel comfortable."
Cons:
"I missed a call from the manager saying they’d follow up by email, but they never did."
"The front staff are impatient and often downright rude."
"They were terribly rude (particularly Brad- I think his name was) and raised his voice in from of a full lobby."
"One of the vet techs (Lindsay) there almost ruined my service dog’s working career because of how rough she was with him."
"If you are looking for staff that constantly argues with you and are unprofessional this is the place to go."
"It was hard enough to watch my cat be treated poorly, but to feel so dehumanized myself was really horrible."
"Companion flat out refused to see him because they couldn't make a same-day appointment and told me it was an emergency and to take him to the hospital."
Facility and Accessibility
Pros:
"CPH was able to get me in for an appointment within 24 hours of calling."
"CPH has a parking lot (!!!) AND Jolly Ranchers on the front desk."
"Space was modern and clean. They have a parking lot too."
"Also, they are the ONLY fear free Vet in the city."
"Booking is super easy and the receptionist staff is very efficient and competent!"
"This place is so friendly and accommodating. Unlike other vets in the area, they have pretty good scheduling availability and our pets can usually be seen within a few days."
"And luckily, they were able to fit us in for an appointment the same day that I called them."
Cons:
"While preforming a working interview it came to my attention that this is a 'green facility'. Apparently that means no paper towels, which means little to no hand washing!"
"They are SOOO busy though. Need a bigger facility if they can, to accommodate all their hard work."
"Only negative comment is that it was a bit loud with dogs on the first floor, but they do have quieter spaces upstairs."
"First time I've been there since the pandemic. They're not letting pet owners in the building with their pets."
"We went there for grooming and all was wonderful until recently. We called to make a regular appointment but they said our groomer Leslie was making her own appointments now."
Cost and Value
Pros:
"Pricing was fair and reasonable."
"The pricing is extremely fair and they make honest recommendations based on your pets specific needs."
"Although it might be a bit pricey, I think it’s worth it."
"She does everything she can to make our visits affordable and avoid unnecessary spending."
"Companion is also very reasonable in regard to cost/prices."
"Very, very reasonable prices, too."
"Their prices are reasonable, I highly recommend taking your pets here!!"
Cons:
"It is far more likely that the medicine will be rushed and overpriced."
"Wouldn't sell me the food I needed for my cat without booking a $100 annual physical - ready to sell the food before the consult."
"My bill came out for over 600 dollars for annually check up."
"Prices feel high, but I believe they are consistent with what you'd find throughout the city."
