Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food was excellent."
  • "The food was really great. We had the chicken and the brisket."
  • "The humus and vegetable plate was a palette bomb, with the steak, lamb amd salmon protein just as tasty."
  • "The food was absolutely delicious."
  • "The hand cut French fries were delicious as well—crispy with a light, fluffy interior."
  • "The meat entrees - we got chicken and brisket - were juicy and soo flavorful."
  • "The food is amazing. I’ve tried all the kebabs and the salmon and the eggplant are both sleeper hits."

Cons:

  • "Absolutely not worth $50+ per person for food."
  • "The salads, although beautiful to look at, they seemed to lack good flavor and really had very little Israeli influence."
  • "The drinks were mediocre at best - hopefully these can be improved as this restaurant matures."
  • "The food looks very pretty but unfortunately didn’t taste great especially for how pricey it was."
  • "The eggplant was way over-salted."
  • "The meat and rice portions were tiny. As in laughably small."
  • "The cauliflower from the grill was eye catching but again lacked any punch and the soft serve ice cream was straight up bland."

Service

Pros:

  • "Service was prompt and courteous."
  • "Service was friendly as can be."
  • "Incredible view, very welcoming and fun staff. Also very knowledgeable which is always appreciated."
  • "Customer service was amazing."
  • "The hospitality was phenomenal."
  • "Service was exceptional."
  • "Service was impeccable!"

Cons:

  • "Laserwolf isn't exactly a budget-friendly spot, and paying a premium for acceptable food while dealing with unnecessary drama just doesn't add up."
  • "One thing to note about the service is that although the servers were so helpful, the other front staff (lobby elevator staff and restaurant front staff) had a lot of attitude."
  • "Our server was not good for what we paid and what you expect for $100+ per person dinner."
  • "The service was quite slow, and we often found ourselves having to flag down someone for assistance."
  • "The problem is we were rudely told to get going by a host while finishing our last drink."
  • "It’s so hot. Think this place needs to add more fan or something make this place cooler."
  • "The service needs improvement."

Value

Pros:

  • "So good food & views at a reasonable price."
  • "Cocktails are interesting plus reasonably priced wines."
  • "Also pretty much everything was naturally gluten free which was amazing for one of us!"
  • "We got lucky and found an opening on Resi the same night and got to enjoy! Still worth the trouble."
  • "The wine was reasonable priced."
  • "Pricing was reasonable, quantity and quality was great."
  • "It’s very affordable relative to similar trendy places in NYC."

Cons:

  • "I thought the beverage menu was a bit overpriced."
  • "The prices at this restaurant are significantly higher compared to other establishments in Manhattan."
  • "It’s overpriced. Not a ton of protein for $45+ mains… basically just one skewer a person."
  • "They don't have beer on tap and the glass of wine I ordered was about a 4 oz pour which was painfully small for the price they charge."
  • "But food was overpriced for what it was (Salatim tasted like slightly above average refrigerated sides that would be cheaper to get at any Middle Eastern restaurant."
  • "The cocktails were all $20+."
  • "Price 1/5. Way over priced for what they give you ($50 for a dish that won’t fill you up)."

Ambiance & Views

Pros:

  • "The space is beautiful - incredible views of Williamsburg and Manhattan."
  • "Amazing views."
  • "The ambiance is - dare I say; perfect, for a date night."
  • "The view is spectacular - it's hard to beat."
  • "It has one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline."
  • "Amazing views of the city - we witnessed the most incredible sunset, overlooking the east river and midtown."
  • "The rooftop setting provides stunning views of the Brooklyn skyline."

Cons:

  • "With the weather not as warm as summer, there was a heavy plastic cover over the window area which skewed the view slightly."
  • "The view is unbeatable. BUT the wind is gusting right into the plastic wall and I had cold air blowing on me all night."
  • "May be nice in summer but in winter it has a feeling of an outdoor tent, haphazardly closed off from the wind."
  • "The heat, however, was totally unbearable, with only fans in sight."
  • "If you are sitting at the bar/chefs counter, the open grill can get quite hot."
  • "One downside was we had an early reservation so the sun was more or less directly in my face for most the meal."
  • "I wish the climate was more consistent. It was SO hot when we went on a relatively temperate June day."
