Price and Value

Pros:

  • "A little on the pricey side but.. hey, it's NYC! And I'd gladly pay for the quality they provide."
  • "Flaky croissants, great coffee, nice outdoor seating. Just a perfect place for taking a rest after walking in Central Park and sheeps meadow. Reasonably well priced for an expensive area."
  • "Price might be high, but value is up there, too."
  • "Everything is a bit on the expensive side - but at least it tastes good."
  • "It’s still delicious and probably dangerous to do the two for $30 deal because you’ll eat one whole."
  • "They have a great selection of fresh-made bread, sandwiches, salads, and bakery goods."
  • "The chocolate babka bread is so delicious, it's a MUST."

Cons:

  • "The Apple Strudel is overpriced, and not worth it."
  • "It was essentially a $6+ of steamed milk with a tiny hint of chocolate :("
  • "The Japanese cheapness in me thinks that the price here seems to be high."
  • "Unfortunately the pricing is insultingly exorbitant so as an UWSider I would not and do not shop at this bakery."
  • "The $$ rating doesn't reflect how expensive this store is: $5-8 before taxes for most items."
  • "Shame on them for price gouging of the Israeli donuts during Hanukkah."
  • "The hot chocolate was actively bad. It tasted like Swiss mix and dirt mixed with half a cup of sugar."

Cons:

  • "The place doesn’t have seating options inside and few tables outside."
  • "There's not a lot of seating indoors and it's a little tight."
  • "Location is not the greatest as it is under an extinct movie theater which is dingy especially on darker days."
  • "We had to stand because of lack of seating inside, it's a small place and it was packed."
  • "Mmm! Everything Yummy...If the tables are all taken, which is often the case, just pick up your delicious pastry and sit at the open space atrium across the street."
