Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The dandan and wanton were very good."
  • "The food at this place is excellent."
  • "The flavors were FANTASTIC and spot in."
  • "The food is really great here. Especially the Dan Dan Noodles with pork and Hot Sauce style anything."
  • "The cumin lamb was perfect. As were the spicy dumplings and the spicy cucumber salad."
  • "This place has amazing, flavorful Chinese food."
  • "Everything was delicious, hot, well-seasoned, and MORE than enough for 2 to share."

Cons:

  • "I encountered a piece of plastic wrap in my lo mein which is highly disappointing and scary if I would’ve eaten it without noticing."
  • "Food is okay, but it’s super oily. I tasted more oil than flavor."
  • "Nice food but no option for spicy lovers. Their chilly sauce is just oil."
  • "The fish was 90% batter, couldn’t eat more than 3-4 pieces."
  • "The cucumbers were soft and lukewarm and they are usually cool and crisp. The sauce they were in lacked the strong garlic and chili flavor and just tasted like oil and sugar."
  • "The shrimp lo mein was bland and dry, missing some key spices."
  • "The food had no flavor and barely any spice, it was all just oil."

Service

Pros:

  • "The service was friendly, given the craze."
  • "The owner came out to greet many people dining that evening and I suspect he does so for many sitting."
  • "We arrived at midnight to awesome music, nice drink specials, and an indescribable staff. Seriously can people be nicer?"
  • "Fast, courteous service and pleasant, friendly management."
  • "Despite the packed crowd on a Monday, food was served quick and hot. Ambience is good. Staffs were on roll with a smile on their face!"
  • "The staff's guidance in selecting dishes was invaluable, and their extra touch of providing a charger was thoughtful and accommodating."
  • "The staff are super attentive and nice."

Cons:

  • "We were interrupted with people next to us arriving and leaving, and because the tables were crammed so close together, we had to keep moving our table around to give people space to get to their seat."
  • "Host was the worst. Told me I had a 25 minute and I would received a text. 50 minutes later!!!"
  • "Waited 20 minutes unattended. Waiter served another table who had just arrived."
  • "The waiter was inattentive and served other tables before us even though we had been seated for longer."
  • "Service is slow. They have too few servers for the crowd."
  • "Today's service gets 1 star due to a rude Chinese waitress."
  • "Delivery time kept being moved later. Restaurant would not pickup the phone."

Value

Pros:

  • "Great bang for your buck."
  • "$8 well spent."
  • "Food is pretty cheap, plentiful and appropriately spicy."
  • "Everything was reasonably priced."
  • "Very generous portions - had to take food to go because we couldn’t finish it all!"
  • "No one can beat their weekday lunch specials."
  • "Their Mealpal lunch deals are the best in NYC. Same portion as their lunch specials. Very reasonably portioned and at a fraction of the cost."

Cons:

  • "High prices for average portions of food."
  • "The drinks are $11. Slightly pricey but not bad or unexpected."
  • "The portion seemed a little small for the price."
  • "They're a bit pricy in the evening."
  • "There was a $4 upcharge for adding broccoli to my kung pao chicken, no problem with that but they gave me the tiniest and smallest amount of broccoli."
  • "The food came out quick, was hot and flavorful, the portion size was a bit lacking for the price."
  • "Not worth the price....It was so oily and didn't have much meat and cabbage."

Ambience

Pros:

  • "A comfy, homey, laid back, casual neighborhood restaurant."
  • "Never a dull moment at Han."
  • "Decor is neat but still has Asian key notes to it."

  • "A great Asian spot with a warming ambiance and a big menu with a load of options."

Cons:

  • "The space is small, a bit claustrophobic and just has way too many customers for an intimate dinner."
  • "It's too crowded and too noisy. Can't even hear the person I am eating with."
  • "Ambiance is also quite loud and not really inductive to having a conversation."
  • "Unfortunately, the space is too small for the amount of business they do."
  • "This restaurant is not large so be prepared to be sitting rather close to others."
  • "It’s a little loud and cold (in the winter) as far as atmosphere."
  • "The 'waiting area' is usually more congested than the GW Bridge under Chris Christie's reign."
