Puzzle Design and Variety

Pros:

  • "Uses variety of puzzle styles and really makes you think outside the box."
  • "Thought provoking puzzles as one would expect, with a good team you could expect to complete the room under an hour."
  • "The puzzles flowed together really well and the story of the room kept things energetic and exciting!"
  • "The puzzles were just challenging enough that when you figured them out, you felt an immense swell of pride."
  • "The puzzles were challenging, but definitely doable."
  • "The puzzles really made you think outside the box, and each Eureka moment was amazing."
  • "The werewolf room has very clever clues and was super spooky!"

Cons:

  • "Once inside, we felt all we did was solve one combination lock after the other."
  • "There are just too many unmarked locks all of them needing 4-Digit codes."
  • "A lot of the puzzles were kind of clunky."
  • "Codes were literally 'its on the page, so thats the code'."
  • "A lot of the tools and clues were broken."
  • "The room had basic repetitive riddles mostly with ‘find the code’ locks."
  • "Puzzles were NOT interesting at all, just a bunch of locks and cheap acting on a screen."

Staff and Cluemasters

Pros:

  • "The staff posted helpful clues to keep us moving on."
  • "The 'game masters' were all really gracious and helped us get settled in."
  • "ANDREW was by far the best and most gracious clue master anyone could ask for!"
  • "Our cluemaster, Kay, was super helpful and friendly, and she only gave us clues when we absolutely needed them."
  • "Leo was amazing, great sense of humor and made sure we had a great time."
  • "Game Master was a lot of fun and provided help without spoiling anything."
  • "Abe was the best clue master."

Cons:

  • "Staff had zero enthusiasm."
  • "Our game master was pretty low energy and didn't add to the experience."
  • "And their stuff is broken. They have tapes on everything hiding their broken stuff."
  • "The workers weren’t excited or cared to be there. Do not show empathy when I brought the situation up, just a 'oh well' type of attitude."
  • "The part that bothered me the most was that our game master kept giving us hints."
  • "Our time was being wasted because we would explain to them what we are doing and wait for a respond minutes later."
  • "They have terrible customer service I do not recommend this place."

Room Quality and Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "The room was clean and maintained well."
  • "The room for the Apocalyptic Mission was intricately and creatively designed."
  • "The room is beautifully decorated with art and clues!"
  • "The room itself was set up perfectly and everything worked without a hiccup."
  • "Staff was nice, and the room was very professional and really worked the theme."
  • "Exodus had such great attention to detail. All of the props in the room were amazing."
  • "The rooms are charmingly designed, almost minimalist, and the themes are very clever."

Cons:

  • "The room was fairly small and it was more brighter than we thought it would be."
  • "It is the smallest set/space I've seen used for an escape room, especially for a room that can have a max of 12 people."
  • "The room itself is simply too small."
  • "The room is dimly lit and small, making it very hard to read the clues when a large of group people are crowded together."
  • "The room was very hot and only had one fan."
  • "Very low lighting which was especially a problem because two of the combination locks had the numbers and markings worn down."
  • "No effort was made into making the room interesting or attractive."

Value and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Just escaped their Apocalyptic Mission room and suffice to say, the entire experience beginning to end was excellent."
  • "This is one of the cheapest escape rooms as well for challenging rooms and the excitement."
  • "It cost about $30 per person at least for our team of 5 for the apocalyptic mission but you can see the prices online."

Cons:

  • "Please save your money and go somewhere else for this insanely overpriced rate!!"
  • "Pathetic. Overpriced. Takes money to give clues and then doesn’t even give it."
  • "The price of $50 per person is completely UNJUSTIFIABLE given the lack of depth, storyline, creativity, and genuine fun in the room."
  • "They have a very small room and theme setup is also not worth the money they are charging."
