Food Quality
Pros:
"Food: awesome- rotating menu of great, creative (but traditionally inspired) Italian dishes."
"Food was superb! I actually ordered the burrata pizza which I felt the crust was a little over cooked. Other than the crust, the toppings had a great taste."
"The pork ravioli is fabulous and a must order, the pizzas are great too."
"The food was fantastic."
"The homemade pastas and sauces may have been some of the best - we tried the rigatoni and gnocchi dishes."
"The food is out of this world."
"Food was excellent. Had the spicy octopus appetizer, birrata pie and cheese board. All excellent!"
Cons:
"The pasta. Someone needs to tell this guy what al dente means."
"Super small portion."
"The tiramisu was mostly cream and did not have much lady finger or espresso."
"The Chicken Parmigiano was burnt black on one side (inedible!)"
"A simple chicken cutlet on 3 separate main courses was burnt and dried out, short rib 'chewy' and difficult for a slow braised dish."
"The calamari is a favorite of ours too."
"The sauce was flavourless."
Service
Pros:
"Our server, Anderson, was amazing. He was attentive, knowledge and recommended the perfect dinner and wine."
"The wait staff and friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable."
"The service was great, apps and dinner came out warm & in a timely manner."
"Service was great; kitchen was confused by our order, but the staff corrected things quickly."
"Max (the sommelier) and Bryan are both extremely friendly and knowledgeable."
"The employees are very friendly and have a great work ethic."
"Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and most certainly accommodating."
Cons:
"Service continues to be hit or miss."
"He NEVER apologized and came back as if nothing happened."
"Never been treated so poorly by a bartender than tonight."
"We were midway through a drink order while sitting down for our friends birthday and she turned around/walked away."
"What made it 2 stars is at the end of our meal we had someone approach us telling us we had to wrap up our meal because we maxed our time and they had to wait for the next reservation."
"Our waiter was RUDE, we had to ask for our soda & water to be refilled."
"Our waitress was by far the rudest server I've ever had."
Atmosphere
Pros:
"Loved the dining room, little Italian bistro feel."
"If you want authentic Italian dinner...you must come here."
"Solid food and drinks in a cozy and rustic space."
"First time there. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and prompt, courteous service."
"The atmosphere was cozy and romantic."
"The whole vibe of the restaurant is unlike others."
"Very rustic old school ambience with delicious food."
Cons:
"It just sucks when u go out to eat and spend $200+ and know u can cook it better at home for cheaper."
"You'll be required to use your phone light to see both the menu AND your food."
"It's a loud bar atmosphere."
"Environment was very loud but that all depends on how you’re vibing that night and what mood you’re in for."
"The only thing that concerned me... the lack of gloves in the kitchen."
"The place was very noisy especially for a Monday night."
"The speaker over the table was unbearably loud and the server said they were not allowed to touch the volume."
Value
Pros:
"The prices are just right for the food you get."
"They do offer homemade gluten-free pasta."
"The homemade pasta shines as the highlight of every meal."
"They don't gouge you for a bottle of decent wine (they're fair with their prices)."
"It's everything I enjoy about Un Dici but at a more modest price point."
"The food was great and I enjoyed the spritz."
"They have huge portions, even for lunch, great flavor be ready to take home leftovers."
Cons:
"The high price combined with okay food is what knocked it to 3 stars."
"Drinks at the bar are overpriced for what you get, the food is not good and manager on site is not very nice."
"The portions were not large-the Rigatoni -which actually looked a lot more like manicotti-had four pieces and a meatball. It was delicious-but $28? Really?"
"I ordered one Aperol spritz, at $17.00. I will pass on that next time."
"My main problem with Birravino are the prices."
"Place is pretty solid food and service wise, but be prepared to spend a life savings."
