Atmosphere

Cons:

  • "The noise level was higher than I like and made conversation difficult but not impossible."
  • "It was also too hot in the restaurant."
  • "The only downside is the 'Belgian Feast' only runs from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m."
  • "The manager wouldn’t bother taking our names, he just barked that we had to wait at the bar for at least 15 to 20 minutes."
  • "Get rid of disgusting dining shed!!!!"
  • "Maybe because we were black and all the other guests were white? More attention was given to the whites."
  • "The current manager was unbelievably rude."

Cons:

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The tuna tartare is divine."
  • "For appetizers, we indulged in escargot, followed by steak frites and sea bass with mushroom risotto in a tarragon sauce for our main courses."

Cons:

  • "Unimpressive American food with your staple of dishes."
  • "During the middle of our meal, I was shocked to find a small roach in my pot of mussels."

Value

  • "Don’t miss out on this little UES gem!"

Cons:

  • "I just called in a dish for carryout and received a bill 30% higher than advertised on their online menu."
  • "Wine bottles are marked up. We ordered a bottle of a 2018 Saint-émilion and they brought us a 2019 without telling us and it was the same price."
  • "Decent, authentic French brasserie fare, good cheese selection, cozy space, polite service, but pricey."
  • "Now the prices are really unreasonable."
  • "Only question we had was the prices. $24 for avocado toast seemed expensive for what it was."
