  • "Nice picnic area. Clean beach area on long island sound. Large parking area, lockers and showers."

Cons:

  • "Loud music permeating Park from party by Concession stand. Unbelievable decibel level and thumping."
  • "The park is very dirty and the fields are covered in Goose pellets, the park people could try and make an effort and keep them clean."
  • "One negative thing is that there was no restrooms available, only Porta potties, which none of them was cleaned either."
  • "The grounds are ridiculously dirty, found broken glass bottles, old cigarette butter etc."
  • "Grass was filled with bird poop everywhere big chunks.. That took 2 stars away."

Accessibility and Cost

Pros:

  • "Glen Island is a great place to go with family and friends for birthday parties, picnics, Bbqs."
  • "It's a wonderful park, we went to BBQ often during the weekdays and it was much less crowed."
  • "Excellent parking and very clean."
  • "Beautiful ocean front park with a paved walking trail around it's circumference that takes you through a series of breathtaking views."
  • "Parking is close by within view which is a short walk from the park."
  • "Great space, great facilities."
  • "The location is easy to get to and parking price is not so bad."

Cons:

  • "They also implemented a re-entry park fee of $5 this year, which I feel is extortion due to the county trying to get money from park goers to supplement their loss from the pandemic."
  • "If you don't have a parking pass, it's $10 to park."
  • "Parking is not worth $10. There's a free lot right over the bridge that you can use to walk into the park from there."
  • "You are also required to be a resident of Westchester County."
  • "For parking they take ONLY cash ($10)"
  • "You MUST pay for parking and a re-entry fee if you leave and decide to come back (no exceptions)."
  • "However they are real strict on residency. If you were not a resident you had to park outside the park and walk in which is difficult for the elderly and disabled."
