Cons:

  • "Not very clean (smelly), not very welcoming and totally uninteresting."
  • "Food was on the plain side."
  • "I was less impressed by my fish and chips. The batter on the fish was more like eating corndog dough then it was a crispy batter."
  • "The cauliflower BBQ salad was wet (theme?) unseasoned and inedible."
  • "The food wasn't good. The butternut squash tasted like watered baby food sprinkled with cinnamon."
  • "The steak sandwich was barely edible. The meat was tough and chewy and the bread was not fresh whatsoever."
  • "Ordered the cod. Tasted like nothing. They must’ve forgotten the salted."

Service

Pros:

  • "The servers and bartenders were very attentive."
  • "Service is always great."

Cons:

  • "The staff is very unfriendly, James (the bartender) in particular, was cold to the three of us in the bar."
  • "The service was mediocre. I think our waitress was new."
  • "The service left a lot to be desired at a time that very few people were in the restaurant."
  • "Betsy, our waitress was friendly but she didn't check in to see if we needed anything or enjoyed our food."
  • "But I was disappointed with the service. Very friendly waiters and waitresses, but I think we waited 10 minutes for two glasses of house wine, and then our meal took forever to come out."
  • "The service was OK but water went without refills and empty drinks sat without checking if we wanted additional."

Ambience

  • "It's very popular, and it gets loud when the restaurant is full."

Value

Pros:

  • "We drank and ate plenty for a very reasonable price."
  • "It's not cheap, but it's in a pricey part of town so the prices are reasonable for the location."

  • "Drafts were 6 bucks, mixed drinks were 7."
  • "Happy hour was very reasonable for nyc."
  • "Prices were very reasonable for the city, location is good and the interior is very welcoming - I'll likely be back with friends next time I'm in the area."
  • "Very good food for a great price."

Cons:

  • "But they charge 10 bucks for three chicken strips."
  • "I think it's too pricey for the food you get."
  • "Came here because of the few vegan dishes they have, but a little pricey and not a ton of low price vegan entrees."
  • "For $17, I expect grilled chicken to be something a little better than what I can whip up in 10 minutes at home."
  • "Unfortunately they try to trick you with the happy hour."
  • "Charging for a side dish like white bread, especially without telling me, seems amazingly petty. And charging for extra sauce? That's something no restaurant has ever done in my long years of experience."
  • "A good place to eat but it can be a bit expensive as a sandwich with fries was $16."

  • "Food is never packaged properly either. Never again."
