Cons:

  • "Also it’s rly hot inside the restaurant .. likely because it’s an open kitchen.."
  • "Too crowded on a Sunday after and the hostess put us on stools right next to the open kitchen."
  • "The space itself is narrow and when I sit at the bar, I always get bumped into and constantly feel like I'm in the way."
  • "It's noisy, pretentious."
  • "The tables are very close together."
  • "Overall the place was very loud."
  • "Mediocre food, mediocre service and unbelievably loud."

Cons:

  • "Menu is very limited, portions are small, service is snappy, pricey, not enough gluten dairy free options."
  • "Unfriendly service and very small portions for such a high price."
  • "Service is slow and it's affecting the food. My entree of golden tilefish would have been much tastier if it was hotter."
  • "The service was average (a bit slow not super friendly)."
  • "There was a mildly uncomfortable situation with our server when I needed to return my cocktail."
  • "Service...not so much. I had a reservation for 2 for 8:45. We weren’t seated until 9:30."
  • "Service also felt a bit rushed at times and then sluggish at others, so a bit inconsistent."

Food

Pros:

  • "Fantastic menu of rustic vegetables, perfectly seared scallops, and a beautiful duck breast."
  • "The watermelon chili margarita was great."
  • "The best eggs I’ve ever had."
  • "The warm dates with labneh (by far my favorite part of the meal), duck breast, and saffron cavatelli. Each dish was well-made."
  • "The Biscuit Benedict... is out of this world."
  • "The broccoli was magical. So was the bass."
  • "The duck hash made my mouth OH so happy."

Cons:

  • "The clams are only barely ok, octopus tough, trout just decent, pork chops too lemony and salty."
  • "The ham on the Benedict was 'boiled in whey' which... tastes exactly like ham boiled in water, flavorless and disgusting."
  • "The pasta tasted heavily like lemon, which was the case for two different dishes."
  • "The Campanelle with escargot and garlic... was so laden with garlic. No balance."
  • "The other negative thing I have to say is, when watching the chef make the beans for the beans and egg dish, he stirred the pot of beans with a spoon, then put the whole spoon in his mouth and then later reused that spoon to stir the beans again."
  • "Had violent food poisoning from the shrimp and grits."
  • "The 'fried' cauliflower were more sauteed, thankfully with no apparent batter, so they were light, had an umami burst of flavor."
