Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is the real deal! Meatballs are worthy of the neighborhood they are served in!"
  • "The vodka pasta was good and garlic bread super delicious!!"
  • "Hands down the best tasting gnocchi dish I’ve ever had!!"
  • "The meats were sausage, pork and another I can't remember. Each of them were savory and flavorful."
  • "The cannoli and tiramisu deserve their own standing ovation – light, ethereal, yet bursting with flavor."
  • "The spaghetti and meatballs were the best that I have ever had."
  • "The food was excellent, and with a somewhat limited menu, what they have is outstanding!"

Cons:

  • "As much as I love garlic bread made from sandwich rolls and gnocchi so saturated with liquids that it tastes like soggy Cheerios, this place just didn’t do it for me."
  • "The fusilli pasta with the chicken Parm was slightly over cooked."
  • "The marinara sauce does not even deserve to be called marinara- it was a bland tomato sauce."
  • "The Chicken Parmigiana, which was supposed to have creamy burrata cheese, tasted like goat cheese."
  • "The rigatoni tasted more like spaghetti than the actual spaghetti."
  • "The pan seared gnocchi was mainly just mushrooms, barely any gnocchi."
  • "The food is nothing special... Very average Italian food."

Service

Pros:

  • "First and foremost the service was great! The host was very kind, and great with accommodating us with seating that had a heater."
  • "They also have a nice wine list and the servers are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and foods on the menu."
  • "Servers were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu."
  • "Staff were welcoming and friendly."
  • "Thank you for the warm and delightful service Emily! Keep up the great work!"

  • "Our waiter was immediately welcoming, kind and informative."

Cons:

  • "I think the wait staff specifically avoid asking how the food is because they knew it was subpar."
  • "Bad food, bad service."
  • "Our server Sean, who is a tall bald man, served us and did not even ask if the food was okay and honestly just ignored us."
  • "Their service was slightly slow."
  • "Waiter (tall lanky guy wearing a skullcap) is inattentive."
  • "Our waitress was quite lackluster, she seemed like she really didn't want to be there."
  • "Our server was terrible though. We asked her what items on the menu were gluten free and she said 'it's obvious' and walked away."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "Such a cute restaurant - we were seated in the outdoor area and it's nice and romantic with overhead lights."
  • "There's a secret path that takes you into a whimsical covered patio."
  • "We sat in the courtyard which was ridiculously cute (highly recommend for date night) but the inside was nice and cozy too."
  • "Last night we ate in the courtyard, which was so cute and cozy with overhanging lights."
  • "The interior and patio areas were very dreamy and overall can’t wait to come back and try other menu items."
  • "The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice."
  • "The atmosphere is so romantic--especially the courtyard in the back."

Cons:

  • "Very small inside and tight. I felt like I knew everybody’s business from sitting so close to them."
  • "The 2nd time I went, We sat in the courtyard and while it did have a nice romantic ambiance and did have some fans, it felt a little stuffy to me."
  • "The courtyard was too hot, as it was a hot night, and it is covered without enough fans."
  • "Inside is very charming, but pretty tight."
  • "Diversity is not welcome there at all."
  • "The atmosphere is pretty claustrophobic and more barebones than photos show."
  • "But inside-there was a heavy smell and not so much fresh air. Small-crowded dining."

Value

Pros:

  • "All amazingly priced too! (4 glasses of wines 2 meals and a dessert for ~$110!!)"
  • "However, the prices were very reasonable!"
  • "The portions justify the price."
  • "Not too expensive and good food!"
  • "Definitely worth coming back!"
  • "The prices are reasonable."
  • "But I think above all the value is amazing. What a great find."

Cons:

  • "Also, the prices in general were very high, in my opinion, compared to the portion size."
  • "The only thing here that is just average is the garlic bread but the rest of the food makes up for it."
  • "The automatic inclusion of a 20% tip for our party of five was quite off-putting."
  • "This is a nice restaurant, but is it worth the price? Average quality for normally 5 dollar meal."
  • "The food is good but be ready to pay $26 for three noodles and some sauce."
  • "My only gripe would be that the portions were a bit small, but maybe I only say that because the food was so delicious."
  • "The whole meal was overly sweet and tasted like bbq sauce."
