Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Proper ramen soup with rich flavor."
  • "The spicy miso ramen was good (you can choose chicken or pork) and so was the mega koku ramen."
  • "The ramen at the place was very good. Excellent broth, the medium spicy was actually spicy."
  • "I had the chicken oyakudon and gyoza. Both were good!"
  • "The chicken is super flavorful and tender, and the broth is super rich."
  • "Every spoonful is bursting with rich and savory flavors that leave a lasting impression."
  • "The food quality was fresh, hot and plenty of umami, great comfort meal on a cold evening."

Cons:

  • "The Shoyu ramen I ordered wasn’t as good. The chicken broth was ok but I had better elsewhere."
  • "The broth was fishy when it usually isn't, the noodles and vegetables were all undercooked, and the spicy miso ramen specifically tasted really really weird and a little sour."
  • "Very mediocre ramen ngl, they were stingy with the broth, and the chicken was dry."
  • "The miso ramen was inedibly salty."
  • "The food was great however, the chicken was a tad bit chewy."
  • "The broth was somewhat watery and kind of bland—it had none of that rich flavor you get from eating an authentic bowl of ramen."
  • "The koku ramen with level 3 spice was average, not enough flavor for me."

  • "Food is delicious but about costumer service so bad service from part of the waiter also they don’t have air conditioner which is so bad with this summer weather, is so hot inside I couldn’t even enjoy the food."
  • "Rude service. We should have walked out when the Korean guy taking orders got annoyed when we asked for a physical menu."
  • "HORRIBLE customer service!!!!"
  • "The service is horrible. We were waiting for the table 30 min and after we were waiting for the waiter will take our order for another 20 min."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere is also awesome - love the cartoon-covered walls and pops of color everywhere."

  • "It's adorable and it feels so cozy to eat inside."
  • "Ambience and environment was also super chill - a relatively small, cozy, and intimate spot to get Korean + Japanese fusion ramen and other dishes."
  • "Despite its small size, the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant adds to its charm."

Cons:

  • "The place is a little small tho and get ready to be seating very close to other people."
  • "Crowded as usual on any given restaurant on that street during lunch but not only with ppl but also full of other living elements such as cachroche looking insects crawling up on the wall making eye contact."
  • "But music volume definitely too high, esp. when sitting at the bar."
  • "The restaurant is not big so it may not be easy to have a conversation."
  • "The seating is a bit weird, the tables are so close, you will be forced into other patrons conversations."
  • "Knocked off a star because the place was too small for my liking - social distance-wise😬."
  • "The only thing that was confusing was the lack of hostess, so you're just standing around until a server acknowledges you."

Value

Pros:

  • "It's fast, relatively cheap and the variety is excellent and interesting."
  • "The prices are decent around 14 dollars for a big bowl considering the very busy location."
  • "Service was quick. Prices were reasonable."
  • "Great portion sizes too."
  • "Priced well with a cool atmosphere."
  • "Value for money was reasonable."
  • "They offer lunch special at $9.99 for a bowl of ramen, with a slice of meat and half egg."

Cons:

  • "The quality has gone downhill and the prices are super high!"
  • "Their ramen used to be $10, then it became $13... it became $17.50."
  • "For $19-$20 a bowl it’s not inexpensive."
  • "It is a little bit pricey although. The tip suggestion starts at 20%."
  • "Price-wise, hard to understand why they have different price for lunch and dinner, any no difference in terms of their service or food, though."
  • "Not worth $25 for mid ramen."
  • "Way too pricy for what it is... $90 for two people to split an order of gyoza, a bowl of ramen each, and a single beer each feels like it should be some kind of crime."
