Service

Pros:

Cons:

  • "I asked for tartar sauce when I ordered and unfortunately didn't receive it (although the catfish doesn't typically come with it, I specifically asked), and also no utensils were put in the to go bag."
  • "Was told we had to wait for 20 minutes outside on the bench initially... ended up waiting for 50 minutes outside instead."

Food

Pros:

  • "The food is amazing, service is good, intimate atmosphere, and there may be a small wait - it’s your favorite aunt’s house after all, so it’s worth it!!"
  • "The food is immaculate."
  • "Everything tasted SO good!"
  • "The food was fantastic- cat fish, mac and shrimp, collard greens, ox tails, fried chicken."
  • "The food was fresh, hot and tasty, the wait staff attentive, and the ambience was perfecto."
  • "The food was 10/10, absolutely delicious."
  • "The food is absolutely perfect! Juicy, flavorful, hot, tender, and all things fantabulous!"

Cons:

  • "The Mac n cheese had 3 types of cheeses in it and was also somewhat bland."
  • "They were all individually salty!"
  • "The Oxtails were extremely salty and seemed to be more Caribbean than southern style."
  • "The only reason I gave the food 3 stars out of 5 is because the food was salty."
  • "The relatively short menu is waaaay overpriced. It is an uncomfortably small place, and the food is mediocre, at best."
  • "$14 for 6 Fried Shrimp, no sides included? $22 for oxtails and white rice? As a point of reference a lobster “taco” is $15 at Nobu, not known as a budget friendly place."
  • "Neither were sweet nor cold, when my husband asked for ice, he was told, 'at present there was no ice at the time'."
