Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Wife had the grilled chicken, kale, and quinoa salad. It was great."
  • "Great Food, like seriously everything we ordered was incredible."
  • "The meatballs came with ricotta cheese, plum tomatoes bursting joyfully with flavors, and in lemon sauce."
  • "Had probably the best salmon bagel of my life although it was definitely unnecessarily expensive (around $20)."
  • "The food was very good especially the flatbread."
  • "Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the burrata+knots and fennel sausage flatbread."
  • "The food was delicious. The atmosphere of the space is inviting and fun."

Cons:

  • "The food doesn't take too long to get to the table, but when it does, it's only good. It's far from bad, but it's not 'great' either."
  • "The food was atrocious tbh - I had the Short Rib Hash which is priced at $21 and it was literally just meat & potatoes in a cast iron pan."
  • "All the burgers were over done but my wife's was pretty burnt."
  • "Honestly if you can't make a decent omlette just don't have brunch."
  • "I ordered the ravioli, and it was hands-down the WORST pasta dish I've ever had in my life."
  • "Food was overpriced, below-average quality, and the portions were small."
  • "The food was not good. All 4 dishes were between cold to warm."

Service

Pros:

  • "Wow! I was blown away by the service and personal touch at this restaurant."
  • "Server was very nice and apologetic but just felt like they were understaffed and overwhelmed."
  • "The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating."
  • "Even though they are very busy, the stuff works really hard to accommodate and make everyone comfortable."
  • "Our server Amalia was warm, friendly, courteous, and truly made us feel happy to be there with her."
  • "I want to thank our waiter David for his attentiveness and patience."
  • "The most incredible service - so welcoming and thoughtful."

Cons:

  • "Service isnt amazing either... I will never ever come back here."
  • "The only thing was the service that was very slow - we sat down and had to constantly get someone to get us water, order, and get our check."
  • "But everything took way too long to come. Even sodas were very long in coming."
  • "However, the servers were disorganized and forgot things frequently."
  • "The service moved soooooo slowly."
  • "Food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired."
  • "It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and an hour to get our food."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "The ambience offers a great intimate vibe where you can share a meal and good conversation."
  • "The atmosphere was elegantly Manhattan, with appropriate mood lighting and just the right measure of bourgeois attitude."
  • "It's a very charming atmosphere in a very nostalgic style."
  • "Very French like cafe atmosphere."
  • "The place has got a really good vibe, it wasn't too loud, and I'd highly recommend this place for a date night."
  • "Vibes are also cute - there were cute lights hung up, a bit dark, and quiet enough for conversation."
  • "Very cool vibes and a great atmosphere."

Cons:

  • "Incredibly loud, and pretty mediocre beer selection."
  • "Nothing really stood out as unique about the experience, though save for feeling like the building was in a weird basement or cellar."
  • "Note that the very front and back rooms are a little noisy with the background music."
  • "The noise level was so elevated that my husband & I were literally shouting across the table to hear each other."
  • "The other downside is dining space (the pricy area) is crammed next to the loud busy bar."
  • "Great food and drinks! But the table we are sitting at is SO UNCOMFORTABLE!"
  • "Unfortunately it's pricey for what you get."

Value

Pros:

  • "They had this absolutely bonkers deal called 'wine & dine.'"
  • "Fair prices and a good vibe."
  • "Rare Find in Midtown! As in the pricing was reasonable and the food Exceptional."
  • "The business lunch special (3 courses for $21) is a go-to for me and colleagues."
  • "The 2-3 course lunch is a good value and includes some nice options."

Cons:

  • "Ordered a vegan risotto cause a friend I was with is vegan. Paid 29 (+taxes) for salty rice, green beans and mushrooms."
  • "Turns out, our server didn't know how much it was, and the upcharge was $10, bringing an eggs benedict to $31."
  • "Food was overpriced, below-average quality, and the portions were small."
  • "If you can't do vegan food just say so and definitely don't charge the same as the seafood risotto."
  • "When someone is foolish enough to order a dozen cookies for $39 along with their unneccesary reservation, make sure they're ready."
