Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is superb and always impressively presented."
  • "I tried their shakshouka for the first time and it was delicious and filling."
  • "They had high quality ingredients with an unexpected aoli that added a great flavor."
  • "Delicious French style pastries with Asian inspired flavors like gouchujiang and furikake!"
  • "The grilled cheese was perfection as well. Not kidding- it is exactly the kind of grilled cheese one dreams about!"
  • "The B.A.L.T with salmon was one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth."
  • "The breakfast sandwich was fresh, real food and the ambiance and presentation of food is sublime."

Cons:

  • "All of the other toppings were non existent. It was supposed to have caramelized onions Gruyère, and some kind of chili paste."
  • "Shakshuka was ok: the portion is humongous for one; I would prefer half the size and the veggies inside cut smaller and a bit drier."
  • "The food is overpriced and just ok anyways."
  • "However, one drawback worth mentioning is that some of the dishes were a bit too salty."
  • "There was a little too much mascarpone on it for me, but easily removed."
  • "I was not a fan of the everything bagel croissant."
  • "Plus the food is insanely overpriced, they put avocado on toast in the thinnest layer and charge you $10."

Service

Pros:

  • "Staff was so kind and friendly too."
  • "The staff and food was incredible!"
  • "Service, friendly/quick even when busy/personable."
  • "Service is great."
  • "The staff were also friendly and kind, conversing with us casually and it was a pleasure speaking with them."
  • "Staff is courteous and efficient."
  • "The staff is so kind and cheerful to be around."

Cons:

  • "The unwelcoming behavior of the owner."
  • "One of the workers told her 'We can't have the chair in the aisle', and rudely started to pull the chair out from under her AS she started to stand up."
  • "Coffee was great but the front of the house cashier was incredibly rude."
  • "Owner was rude and demanded we wait outside until the line cleared."
  • "Excellent coffee, excellent food and Lori at the front counter is a delight but the owner working the front is rude, crass and unwelcoming."
  • "Service was awful. The man who greeted us decided to tell his customers to wait outside in the freezing cold because of their 'small space' rather than serve us."
  • "So rude! I am a city of PK resident and was so excited that this bakery opened in our city. Sadly, it’s been a huge disappointment as the owner (i think) is so RUDE, ABRASIVE and at times downright abusive to his customers."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "Always a cozy atmosphere to sit and share a delightful breakfast."
  • "They have beautiful views of the mountains & trees, gives you a true taste of Upstate NY."
  • "The decor is industrious modern with beautiful views of the Walkway over the Hudson."
  • "The area is beautiful, the people are incredibly friendly and happy, the building is cute with huge garage doors to let in the beautiful spring air."
  • "The atmosphere was lively and pleasant and comfortable."
  • "The whole atmosphere is nice."
  • "The atmosphere is also stunning and small details from ceiling lamps to sink faucets have been meticulously thought out to create a modern, cozy, and peaceful environment."

Cons:

  • "The first time I came into the shop my boyfriend and I felt very weird vibes."
  • "The loud music, which seemed to overpower our son's voice, made it difficult for us to engage in conversation and enjoy our time together."
  • "The area to order is right inside the front door, hence making it a bit difficult to get in and the coffee menu is off to the right so it’s a somewhat cramped set up."
  • "We were asked to unseat in the middle of our meal to make seating available for another customer, unsure of the reason of bias."
  • "It’s a lovely café and we enjoyed ourselves, but not a place I feel comfortable lingering once my food and coffees are done."
  • "The manager got in my face and made me take my jacket off chair stating we can't hold a table."
  • "Usually you go into a coffee shop and the atmosphere is calming."

Pros:

  • "Great seating and WiFi is good."
  • "There seemed to be ample seating and tables to study, read, etc."
  • "The cafe is very cute with spacious seating and welcoming designs all throughout, providing a comfortable ambiance for diners to relax and enjoy themselves."

Cons:

  • "I definitely would not bring my five-year-old here."
  • "So we chose to leave instead."
  • "We left without eating, after having paid over $50 for the meal and tips."
  • "Your bakery isn't accessible to disabled people (like myself) because of your policy that requires patrons to stand until their orders have been completed."
  • "It put me in a position where I had to either publicly disclose my private medical condition to ask for accommodations, or leave."
  • "Figure out how to plan for customer waiting space inside your store before demanding people wait outside in the cold."
  • "After being down right disrespected, my wife said let's get breakfast elsewhere and we walked out."
